CVE-2021-47211

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a null pointer dereference in the snd usb set sample rate v2v3() function of the Linux kernel's usb-audio component. This could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem arises because the cs desc pointer returned from snd usb find clock source could be null, leading to a potential null pointer dereference issue. This is fixed by adding a null check before dereference.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
