Description
The issue is related to a memory leak in the
perf env insert btf() function when a duplicate BTF id is encountered. This function does not insert the duplicate id and causes a memory leak. The function has been modified to return a success or error value and free the memory if the insertion did not happen. Additionally, a return value of -1 has been added when an insertion error occurs in perf env fetch btf(). This vulnerability may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
