VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the isofs component of the Linux kernel, where the isofs read inode() function can read data beyond the end of a buffer when an isofs image is suitably corrupted. This can lead to a denial of service. The problem is addressed by adding a sanity check for the directory entry length before using it.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
