CVE-2021-47577

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a race condition in the io-wq component of the Linux kernel, where a gap exists between checking for exit and adding new worker task work. This gap can lead to a situation where task work is added after existing creations have been canceled at exit time. The problem is resolved by checking the EXIT bit after adding the creation task work and running the same cancellation as the exit does if it is set.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
