CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel's gve component. When freeing notification blocks, the kernel indexes priv->msix vectors. If the allocation of priv->msix vectors fails, this could lead to a NULL pointer dereference when the driver is unloaded, potentially causing a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
