Description
The issue is related to a resource leak in the
lpspi prepare xfer hardware() function of the Linux kernel. This leak occurs because pm runtime get sync increments the power management usage counter even if it fails, and forgetting to perform the corresponding put operation results in a reference leak. The fix involves replacing pm runtime get sync with pm runtime resume and get to maintain a balanced usage counter. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
