Description Running security scans against the SAN switch can cause config and secnotify processes within the firmware to consume all memory, leading to denial of service impacts, possibly including a switch panic.

Recommendations For Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 9.0.0, update to version 9.0.0 or later to resolve the issue. For Brocade Fabric OS versions 8.2.2d and earlier, update to a version later than 8.2.2d to resolve the issue. For Brocade Fabric OS versions 8.2.1e and earlier, update to a version later than 8.2.1e to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting security scans against the SAN switch until a patch is available.
