Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80
Description
This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of JT files, specifically when crafted data in a JT file can trigger a write past the end of an allocated buffer. This can be leveraged to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations
For Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80, consider restricting the use of JT file parsing until a patch is available.
