VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. It requires user interaction, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of JP2 images due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data. This can result in a read past the end of an allocated buffer, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process when combined with other vulnerabilities.
Recommendations For Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80, consider disabling the JP2 image parsing functionality until a patch is available to prevent potential exploitation. Restrict access to malicious pages or files to minimize the risk of information disclosure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
