Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Content Egg WordPress plugin versions prior to 5.3.0
Description
The issue is related to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting problem. It occurs because the
page parameter is not properly sanitised and escaped before being outputted back in an attribute in the Autoblogging admin dashboard.Recommendations
For versions prior to 5.3.0, update to version 5.3.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Autoblogging admin dashboard to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
page parameter in the affected attribute until the issue is resolved.Exploit
