CVE-2022-0653

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms WordPress plugin versions up to and including 3.6.1
Description The issue arises from insufficient escaping and sanitization of the site url parameter found in the ~/assets/misc/fallback-page.php file. This allows attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts onto a page, which executes whenever a user clicks on a specially crafted link by an attacker.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 3.6.1, update to a version that includes the necessary escaping and sanitization fixes for the site url parameter to prevent Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ~/assets/misc/fallback-page.php file until a patch is available.
