CVE-2022-0769

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Users Ultra WordPress plugin versions prior to 3.1.1
Description The issue arises from the failure to properly sanitize and escape the data target parameter before it is interpolated in an SQL statement and executed via the "rating vote" AJAX action. This action is available to both unauthenticated and authenticated users, leading to an SQL injection issue.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.1.1, update to version 3.1.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "rating vote" AJAX action to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the data target parameter in the affected AJAX endpoint until the issue is resolved.
