CVE-2022-1303

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Slide Anything WordPress plugin versions prior to 2.3.44
Description The issue allows high privilege users, such as editors and above, to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This is possible because the plugin does not properly sanitize and escape sliders' descriptions, even when the unfiltered html is disallowed.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.3.44, update to version 2.3.44 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the ability of high privilege users to create or edit sliders until the update is applied.
