| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Metform WordPress plugin versions up to and including 2.1.3
Description
The Metform WordPress plugin is vulnerable to sensitive information disclosure due to improper access control in the ~/core/forms/action.php file. This can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker to view all API keys and secrets of integrated third-party APIs, including those of PayPal, Stripe, Mailchimp, Hubspot, HelpScout, and reCAPTCHA.
Recommendations
For versions up to and including 2.1.3, update to a version later than 2.1.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ~/core/forms/action.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
