CVE-2022-1900
CVSS v3.1
8.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Copify plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.3.0
Description
The issue is due to missing nonce validation on the CopifySettings page, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update the plugin's settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request. This can be achieved if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.3.0, update to a version that includes nonce validation on the CopifySettings page to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the CopifySettings page to minimize the risk of exploitation.
