| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Shortcut Macros WordPress plugin versions 1.3 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to the lack of authorization and CSRF checks when updating settings in the plugin. This could allow any authenticated users, such as subscribers, to update the settings.
Recommendations
For versions 1.3 and earlier, update to a version that includes authorization and CSRF checks for setting updates.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the settings update functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation.
