Description
A permissions bypass issue in the
getAvailabilityStatus function of PrivateDnsPreferenceController.java allows a guest user to change private DNS settings. This could lead to local escalation of privilege without requiring additional execution privileges. User interaction is not necessary for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions Android-10 through Android-12L, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent local escalation of privilege.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
