| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions prior to the fixed version
Description
The issue is related to a missing permission check in the ConnectivityService, which could allow bypassing of network permissions. This might lead to local information disclosure of tethering interfaces without requiring additional execution privileges. User interaction is not necessary for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the ConnectivityService until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the tethering interfaces may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
