CVE-2022-20559

CVSS v3.1

3.3

Low

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android version Android-13
Description In the revokeOwnPermissionsOnKill function of PermissionManager.java, there is a possible way to determine whether an app is installed without query permissions due to side channel information disclosure. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android version Android-13, consider restricting access to sensitive information until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, review the PermissionManager.java to identify potential side channels and restrict unnecessary information disclosure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
