CVSS v3.1
7.2
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android kernel
Description
The issue is related to a possible out of bounds write due to a missing bounds check in the SetDecompContextDb function of RohcDeCompContextOfRbId.cpp. This could lead to remote code execution with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android kernel, consider applying a patch that includes a bounds check in the SetDecompContextDb function of RohcDeCompContextOfRbId.cpp to prevent out of bounds writes. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the SetDecompContextDb function until a patch is available.
Fix
Memory Corruption
