VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MMP versions prior to 1.0.3 PTP C-series versions prior to 2.8.6.1 PTMP C-series and A5x versions prior to 2.5.4.1
Description The software uses the MD5 algorithm to hash passwords before storing them but does not salt the hash. As a result, attackers may be able to crack the hashed passwords.
Recommendations For MMP versions prior to 1.0.3, update to version 1.0.3 or later to resolve the issue. For PTP C-series versions prior to 2.8.6.1, update to version 2.8.6.1 or later to resolve the issue. For PTMP C-series and A5x versions prior to 2.5.4.1, update to version 2.5.4.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider implementing additional security measures to protect against password cracking attacks until the update can be applied.
