Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
D-Link DIR-823-Pro version 1.0.2
Description
The issue is related to a command injection vulnerability in the
SetWLanApcliSettings() function. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the ApCliKeyStr parameter. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient input data validation when processing the ApCliKeyStr parameter, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands.Recommendations
For D-Link DIR-823-Pro version 1.0.2, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
SetWLanApcliSettings() function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the ApCliKeyStr parameter in the affected API endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
