CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 98.0.4758.80
Description The issue is related to a use after free in the Screen Capture function of Google Chrome, which can lead to heap corruption. A remote attacker who has compromised the renderer process and convinced a user to engage in specific user interaction can potentially exploit this issue via a crafted HTML page. This could allow the attacker to access confidential information.
Recommendations For versions prior to 98.0.4758.80, update to version 98.0.4758.80 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting user interaction with the Screen Capture function until a patch is available.
