Description The issue is related to the incorrect management of code generation in the wp ajax parse media shortcode() function of the PHP Everywhere plugin, allowing for the execution of PHP code snippets via WordPress shortcodes. This can be exploited by any authenticated user, potentially enabling a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For PHP Everywhere versions 2.0.3 and earlier, consider disabling the wp ajax parse media shortcode() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the PHP Everywhere plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the PHP code execution functionality via WordPress shortcodes in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved.
