VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Sante DICOM Viewer Pro version 11.8.7.0
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of DCM files due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. An attacker can leverage this, potentially in conjunction with other issues, to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Sante DICOM Viewer Pro version 11.8.7.0, consider disabling the DCM file parsing functionality until a patch is available to prevent potential exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive information and avoid opening files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of information disclosure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
