VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Sante DICOM Viewer Pro version 13.2.0.21165
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of JP2 files due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a memory corruption condition. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Sante DICOM Viewer Pro version 13.2.0.21165, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the JP2 file parsing functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to malicious pages or files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the affected software to open untrusted files until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
