Description
The issue is related to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This occurs because the build cause is not properly escaped when using the webhook. Attackers with Item/Configure permission can exploit this vulnerability.
Recommendations
For Jenkins Generic Webhook Trigger Plugin versions 1.81 and earlier, update to a version that properly escapes the build cause when using the webhook to prevent stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
