| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Jenkins GitLab Authentication Plugin versions 1.13 and earlier
Description
The issue concerns the storage of the GitLab client secret in an unencrypted form within the global config.xml file on the Jenkins controller. This allows users with access to the Jenkins controller file system to view the client secret.
Recommendations
For Jenkins GitLab Authentication Plugin versions 1.13 and earlier, consider restricting access to the Jenkins controller file system to minimize the risk of the client secret being viewed by unauthorized users.
As a temporary workaround, consider encrypting the GitLab client secret manually until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
