CVE-2022-0118

CVSS v2.0

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 97.0.4692.71
Description The issue is related to an inappropriate implementation in the WebShare component of Google Chrome, which may allow a remote attacker to potentially hide the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page. This could be achieved by exploiting the vulnerability with a specially designed web page.
Recommendations For versions prior to 97.0.4692.71, update to version 97.0.4692.71 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to WebShare functionality until the update is applied. Avoid using crafted HTML pages that could exploit this issue in the affected versions of Google Chrome.
