CVE-2022-28367

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OWASP AntiSamy versions prior to 1.6.6
Description The issue allows for XSS via HTML tag smuggling on STYLE content with crafted input. The output serializer does not properly encode the supposed Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) content. This is a problem in a library for performing fast, configurable cleansing of HTML coming from untrusted sources.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.6.6, update to version 1.6.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the input allowed in STYLE content to minimize the risk of exploitation.
