CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.57 through 8.59
Description The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the Rich Text Editor component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. This allows a remote attacker to gain read access to data and impact its integrity. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 8.57 through 8.59, consider restricting access to the Rich Text Editor component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of the Rich Text Editor functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Rich Text Editor component for sensitive data until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
