Description The issue is related to a buffer read overflow in the memory of the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Server: DDL subcomponent. This can be exploited by a remote attacker with high privileges and network access via multiple protocols, potentially leading to a partial denial of service (DOS) of the MySQL Server. The vulnerability can also cause the server to hang or crash repeatedly.
Recommendations For versions 8.0.27 and prior, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent potential exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
