VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TP-LINK WR-886N version 20190826 2.3.8
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow on the stack in the /cloud config/router post/get reg verify code feature of the TP-LINK WR-886N router's firmware. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system via a specially crafted request.
Recommendations For version 20190826 2.3.8, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the /cloud config/router post/get reg verify code feature until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
