Description The issue is related to an unauthorized access vulnerability in VMware ESXi due to VMX having access to settingsd authorization tickets. A malicious actor with privileges within the VMX process may be able to access the settingsd service running as a high-privileged user. This vulnerability is associated with inadequate access control in the VMX service of the VMware Cloud Foundation virtualization platform and the VMware ESXi hypervisor. Exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to elevate their privileges.
