Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Robustel R1510 versions 3.1.16 through 3.3.0
Description
A firmware update issue exists in the sysupgrade functionality. This can be triggered by a specially-crafted network packet, allowing for arbitrary firmware updates. An attacker can exploit this by sending a sequence of requests.
Recommendations
For versions 3.1.16 through 3.3.0, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the sysupgrade functionality until a patch is available. Avoid using the sysupgrade feature in the affected versions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
