Description
This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of ZIP files due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.

For Inductive Automation Ignition version 8.1.15 (b2022030114), consider disabling the ZIP file parsing functionality until a patch is available to prevent deserialization of untrusted data. Restrict access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-supplied data in the affected parsing functionality until the issue is resolved.
