CVE-2022-35876

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Abode Systems, Inc. iota All-In-One Security Kit versions 6.9X and 6.9Z
Description The issue arises from format string injection via the default key id and key configuration parameters within the testWifiAP XCMD handler. Specially-crafted configuration values can lead to memory corruption, information disclosure, and denial of service. An attacker can modify a configuration value and then execute an XCMD to trigger these vulnerabilities.
Recommendations For versions 6.9X and 6.9Z, consider restricting access to the testWifiAP XCMD handler until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the default key id and key configuration parameters in the affected XCMD handler to minimize the risk of exploitation.
