Blue Prism Enterprise versions 6.0 through 7.01
Description
An issue was discovered in a misconfigured environment that exposes the Blue Prism Application server, allowing an authenticated user to reverse engineer the Blue Prism software and circumvent access controls for the
UpdateOfflineHelpData administrative function. This enables any Blue Prism user to change the offline help URL to one of their choice, potentially leading to spoofing the help page or executing a local file.Recommendations
For Blue Prism Enterprise versions 6.0 through 7.01, consider restricting access to the
UpdateOfflineHelpData administrative function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that the Blue Prism Application server is properly configured to prevent exposure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
