Description The issue is related to a Null pointer dereference, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to cause an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow, which may lead to a denial-of-service.
Recommendations For Adobe Illustrator versions 25.4.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 25.4.3 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Illustrator versions 26.0.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 26.0.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the opening of malicious files until a patch is available.
