Description The issue is caused by an out-of-bounds read operation in memory. Exploitation of this issue could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information using a specially crafted PDF file. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR). Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.

Recommendations For Adobe Illustrator versions 25.4.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 25.4.3 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Illustrator versions 26.0.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 26.0.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of PDF files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
