CVE-2022-23192

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Illustrator versions 25.4.3 and earlier Adobe Illustrator versions 26.0.2 and earlier
Description The issue is caused by an out-of-bounds read operation in memory, which could lead to the disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this to bypass mitigations such as Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR). Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file, potentially a specially crafted PDF file, to trigger the vulnerability.
Recommendations For Adobe Illustrator versions 25.4.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 25.4.3 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Illustrator versions 26.0.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 26.0.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of potentially malicious PDF files in Adobe Illustrator until a patch is available.
