CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ivanti Avalanche version 6.3.2.3490
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. Although authentication is required to exploit this issue, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the JwtTokenUtility class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this issue to execute code in the context of the service account.
Recommendations For Ivanti Avalanche version 6.3.2.3490, consider disabling the JwtTokenUtility class until a patch is available to prevent deserialization of untrusted data. Restrict access to sensitive areas of the service to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
