Description
This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. Although authentication is required to exploit this issue, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the Web File Server service, resulting from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this issue to execute code in the context of the service account.
Recommendations
For Ivanti Avalanche version 6.3.2.3490, consider disabling the Web File Server service until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the service to minimize the risk of remote code execution. Avoid using the service for processing untrusted data until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
