Description This issue allows remote attackers to bypass authentication on affected installations. Although authentication is required to exploit this issue, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the AvalancheDaoSupport class. A crafted request can trigger execution of SQL queries composed from a user-supplied string, allowing an attacker to bypass authentication on the system.
Recommendations For Ivanti Avalanche version 6.3.2.3490, consider disabling the AvalancheDaoSupport class temporarily until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive areas of the system to minimize the risk of unauthorized access. Avoid using user-supplied strings in SQL queries until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
