Description The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Server: Replication subsystem. This allows a remote attacker with high privileges and network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server. Successful exploitation can result in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server, leading to a denial-of-service (DOS) condition.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 8.0.28 and prior, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
