Description
The issue is due to insufficient input validation in the Core component of Oracle Coherence, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via T3 to compromise Oracle Coherence. Successful attacks can result in the takeover of Oracle Coherence. This can be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Oracle Coherence versions 12.2.1.3.0 and 12.2.1.4.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Oracle Coherence version 14.1.1.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access via T3 to minimize the risk of exploitation.
