Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WP Affiliate Platform plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 6.3.9
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 6.3.9, update to a version higher than 6.3.9 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to parameters that are vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
