CVE-2022-39334

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions nextcloudcmd versions prior to 3.6.1
Description The issue allows a Man-in-the-middle attack, potentially exposing sensitive data or credentials to a network attacker, due to the incorrect trust of invalid TLS certificates. This affects the CLI utility only and does not impact the standard GUI desktop Nextcloud clients or the Nextcloud server.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.6.1, update to version 3.6.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of invalid TLS certificates in the nextcloudcmd utility until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive data and credentials to minimize the risk of exploitation.
