| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android kernel
Description
The issue is related to a possible out of bounds write in the EmbmsSessionData::encode function due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege, requiring System execution privileges. No user interaction is needed for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android kernel, consider applying a patch that includes a bounds check in the EmbmsSessionData::encode function to prevent out of bounds writes. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive system resources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
Memory Corruption
