CVSS v2.0

9.7

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:P/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 102.0.5005.61
Description The issue is related to an inappropriate implementation in Extensions, allowing an attacker to bypass profile restrictions via a crafted HTML page if a user is convinced to install a malicious extension. This could potentially allow a remote attacker to disclose protected information using a specially crafted web page.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 102.0.5005.61, update to version 102.0.5005.61 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to only trusted sources until the update is applied.
